Rapid Fire for Street Fighter

This is a free fan PDF for adapting the film Rapid Fire for the Street Fighter RPG (SFRPG). I struggled to match the style of the original books, practice for my plans to make Storyteller Vaults products; hopefully the silly amount of time it took to polish the presentation was worthwhile. Rapid Fire is one of my favourite martial art movies, even now, but in many ways it is a cliché 90s martial arts action movie. Thankfully, especially for the type of film that it is, it is well made, with good actors doing a lot of with simple characters, and crucially it has some excellent fight choreography. Many thanks to the cast and crew of Rapid Fire, and in particular to the memory of Brandon Lee. A movie worth buying and rewatching.

Back in the 90s, having run lots of Vampire, Werewolf, and Mage games that were often based in Chicago, it felt appropriate to base my Street Fighter games in that major city. Coincidentally, Jake Lo (Brandon Lee) ends up in Chicago, and a desperate struggle to survive ensues. The film mostly being located in Chicago provided yet another reason I used events from Rapid Fire in my games. My later SFRPG games usually left modern Earth behind, but even then I have repurposed details to use in those other games. Many thanks to Benjamin Terry, Damian Kendrick, and Eric Henrique “Musashi” de Souza for their feedback and proofreading. Download Rapid Fire, (Separate Maps).

** A Brazilian translation will be made, but that will take some time, partly because giving readers a chance to spot any errors in the English version. ** For the many other translations check out this folder.
